Traffic Advisory: Work to Resume on Arlington Avenue
Construction work will resume next week on Arlington Avenue in Duluth.
Last year the road underwent major improvements totaling $2.6 million in resurfacing work.
This year crews will put on some finishing details by adjusting manhole covers along Arlington, from Trinity Road to Arrowhead Road.
Motorists should expect delays or seek other routes.
Additionally, beginning in June, a final chip seal and final pavement markings will be added.
Also, on April 19, St. Louis County Public Works will be holding a public information meeting to update residents about plans to extend the sidewalk along the east side of Arlington Avenue from Linden Street to Willow Street.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Duluth Heights Community Recreation Center at 33 West Mulberry Street.
The sidewalk expansion is expected to take place in 2017.
