American Idol Minneapolis Features Virginia Contestant
Preston Gunderson Sings for Ticket to Hollywood
Singing talent from across Minnesota finally made their debut on prime time television Wednesday.
FOX aired its Minneapolis episode of American Idol featuring dozens of idol hopefuls at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Among the crowd, was singer-songwriter Preston Gunderson of Virginia.
“I’m really hoping that once I get out there and I have my guitar with me which is kind of like my blanket, I guess, hopefully I can just perform my best,” said Gunderson, back during his audition in September. “I’m going to leave it all out of the floor, I guess, when I get in there. Wish me luck,” he smiled, as he prepared to sing before judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban.
Unfortunately, Gunderson did not walk away with a golden ticket to Hollywood.
According to his Facebook page, he’s still doing what he loves by making music.
