UMD Men Climb in Rankings, Women Stay Put

Both teams swept in latest series

DULUTH, Minn.- After a pair of series sweeps over the weekend, both of UMD’s hockey teams are looking strong in the latest Division I polls.

The UMD men are now 11th in the USCHO poll, moving up three spots from last week. They also moved up from 14th to 12th in the USA Hockey poll. The Bulldogs swept Bemidji State in a two-game series and will now head to New York to take on Cornell.

Meanwhile, the UMD women are in 8th in the latest USCHO, the same position as last week. The Bulldogs cleaned up on the road, sweeping Minnesota State Mankato and improving to 4-2 overall. They’re back on the road this upcoming weekend for a pair of games against Bemidji State
