Washington Capitals Call Up Former Bulldog Hunter Shepard

Shepard is expected to make his NHL debut Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils.

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Former UMD and Grand Rapids goalie Hunter Shepard received the call any hockey player dreams about.

And that’s the call to the pros.

The Washington Capitals recalled Shepard from Hershey on Tuesday.

Even better news, he’s expected to make his NHL debut Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils.

This is the 2nd time Shepard has been called up to the pros.
