Canoeists Last Seen Saturday On Minong Flowage Still Missing
WASCOTT, Wis. – Two men who were last seen on the Minong Flowage in Wascott last Saturday are still nowhere to be found, as of Wednesday evening.
The St. Louis County Rescue Squad could be seen Wednesday launching its search boat into the water.
On Monday, Douglas County Sheriff Matt Izzard said the men went out in a canoe Saturday evening.
family members called 911 just before 1 a.m. Sunday after locating the capsized canoe.
Multiple agencies are helping in the search effort.
Divers could be seen in the Minong Flowage Wednesday.
FOX 21 reached out to Sheriff Izzard Wednesday for an update on the search efforts, but did not hear back as of 10 p.m.
