DULUTH, Minn.- This week’s top plays feature a pair of impressive scores from a college captain and a high school footballer.
At number two, UMD’s Mannon McMahon scored a goal unassisted on a breakaway in the first period against St. Thomas. The Bulldogs women’s hockey team would go on to win 3-1.
At number one, Hermantown’s Martin Sleen dodged tacklers and broke to the outside for a 66-yard touchdown in the Hawks section 7AAAA Championship game. Hermantown ended up losing to North Branch 28-21.
