2 Days To Go: Larson, Reinert Race To The Duluth Mayoral Finish Line
DULUTH, Minn. – The General Election is two days away on Nov. 7, and Duluth mayoral candidates Emily Larson and Roger Reinert were out Sunday continuing to door knock for votes.
Both candidates posted to their social media Sunday about the campaigns.
Larson posted a video saying in part:
“Hey everybody, it’s Emily. It is Sunday night and, why yes, I’m still at the Labor Temple… We did 2,000 doors this weekend. We have reached 17,000 homes. And the conversation we are having, you are sharing what’s important to you, you are driving the conversation, you are in charge of conversation,” Larson said. “We are going to be doing what we are doing until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. We’re going to be door knocking, were going to be phone calling, we’re going to be following up with people who are undecided who are no longer undecided because they’ve seen the debates, they’ve had conversations with us and they know we’re doing the work.”
Mayor Larson also has a 21-minute sit-down YouTube video former mayor Don Ness as an “inside look why Don is excited to support Emily for another term and at both leaders’ different approaches and shared love for the community of Duluth.”
Reinert posted a video saying in part:
“We all know that the mayor race is on the ballot on Tuesday, but of course other things are as well — city council candidates. I’m endorsing or asking the candidates to endorse me, but as voters, I would ask you to look at the council candidates and look at the ones who are clearly saying the same thing we are: Core city services are our priority. Effective, efficient, and at a tax rate we can both can afford and sustain — those are the councilors that I know I’m going to be able to work with to get done what we need to do,” Reinert said. “Hey, Duluth, thanks so much. We’re so close. I hope you have a plan to vote on November 7th and I hope you’re making a plan with everyone you know to get out and vote as well.”
Meanwhile, Rienert has a new 18-minute video on YouTube called “The Final Rebuttal” that “walks through the various statistics, half-truths, and attacks” if his campaign.
