UMD Men’s Hockey Honor Johnson With Pre-Game Tribute

Funeral Set for Monday

DULUTH, Minn.- One week after the tragic on-ice accident resulting in the death of Adam Johnson, the UMD Men’s hockey team honored their former player before their first game since his passing.

At AMSOIL Arena, the team held a seven-second moment of silence, as well as a final stick salute and a tribute video highlighting Johnson’s time with the Bulldogs. the team also had one of his UMD jerseys hang behind the Bulldogs bench throughout Saturday’s game.

A public funeral and celebration of life for Johnson will take place on Monday, November 6 at the Hibbing Memorial Arena from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., with the ceremony set to begin at 3:30 p.m. Click here for a link to view the funeral virtually.
