UWS Men’s Hoops Look Strong in Home-Opening Win Over UW-La Crosse
Four Yellowjackets score 15+ points
SUPERIOR, Wis.- The UW-Superior men’s basketball team are now 2-0 to start the season with Friday’s 76-68 win over UW-La Crosse at Mertz Motorelli Gymnasium.
J’Vaun Walker led UWS in scoring with 18 points. Meanwhile, Reid Johnson and Josef Fahrenoltz each tallied 17 points while Joey Barker added 16 points, along with a whopping seven steals.
As part of the Merrill Thompson Classic, the Yellowjackets will take on UW-River Falls Saturday at 4 p.m. with hopes of starting 3-0 for the first time since 2010-11.
