Huskie Standouts Duarte & Hallquist Earn Big Stick Awards

The award is given to the player at each position who had the best batting average during the 2023 regular season.

DULUTH, Minn.- Their season may have wrapped up in August. But two former Huskies standouts are still collecting hardware.

Outfielder Joshua Duarte and infielder Michael Hallquist were each awarded 2023 Rawlings Big Stick awards.

The award is given to the player at each position who had the best batting average during the 2023 regular season.

Duarte would finish with a league-leading batting average of .398 and Hallquist wasn’t far too behind as he hit for .355.

The duo will each receive an engraved bat from rawlings.
