DULUTH, Minn.- UMD Junior Linebacker Mac Strand earned NSIC Defensive Player of the Week Honors after rallying up 16 tackles in the Bulldogs 33 to 21 victory over MSU-Mankato.
Those 16 tackles were a career best for the Appleton, Wisconsin native.
Strand finishes the year with 50 total tackles, 35 of which were solo.
He also had a career-high in sacks with one and a half.
