Humane Society of Douglas County Hosts Annual “Santa Paws” Event
SUPERIOR, Wis. — With Christmas just over a month away, even animals were getting into the holiday spirit on Saturday at the Humane Society of Douglas County’s Annual Santa Paws event.
Furry friends had the chance to get their picture taken by Miss Lady Jane Photography if their owner donated any amount to the Humane Society.
Most of the animals were not camera shy, and loved the attention.
There was also different items for sale, including fudge, coffee and dog treats.
Even students from Superior High School volunteered to help with the event which was at Campbell Lumber and Supply.
“We love when we get to see repeat phototakers, but we love meeting all the new pets too, last year we actually had chickens and this year we have had ferrets, so we just love to see what people bring, we except all pets and all family members, so it’s fun,” said Cheri Fitch, Humane Society of Douglas County Fundraiser and Events Coordinator.
If you missed todays photo sessions, if you call Campbell Lumber, the decorations will still be set up and Miss Lady Jane Photography may be able to take your pictures sometime this week.
