UMD’s Granica Sets Career Highs in Win Over Northern Michigan
Granica: 27 points, 11 field goals made
DULUTH, Minn.- Graduate Student Madelyn Granica had a career high of 27 points as the UMD women’s basketball team rolled over Northern Michigan 63-42 Sunday afternoon at Romano Gymnasium.
Along with setting a new personal best for points in a single game, she also set new highs for field goals made (11) and field goal attempts (14). Granica added four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal to her stat line.
With 10 points, Taytum Rhoades was the Bulldogs’ only other player who scored in double digits. Rhoades also led the team in rebounding (8) while recording four assists, three blocks and three steals.
UMD will once again prepare for a back-to-back stint at home next weekend, with Wayne State College coming into town on Saturday before Augustana on Sunday.
