Superior Boys Overtake Panthers in Overtime

79 points marks new season high for Spartans

SUPERIOR, Wis.- After splitting a pair of games over the Thanksgiving break in Schofield, the Superior boys’ basketball team earned a 79-68 home-opening victory in overtime over Sioux Falls Central Tuesday night.

Superior built an early lead thanks in part to Tre Sanigar, who scored 15 points in the first half. They also had some help from their bench as Kyle Johnson and Isaac Peterson made big shots from behind the three-point line.

The Spartans will now get a week off from competition before hitting the road to take on Hibbing on Thursday, December 7.
