Lindaman’s First-Period Hat Trick Boosts Hilltoppers Over Bluejackets

DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Marshall girls hockey team have extended their win streak to seven following Monday’s 7-2 win over Hibbing/Chisholm at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The game’s first goal came in 17 seconds into the first period when Marshall’s Ilsa Lindaman scored on her solo attack to the net. Lindaman would later score her second and third goals 13 minutes and 13 seconds into the first period. Nina Thorson and Avery Lian also scored goals in the first period to put the Hilltoppers ahead 5-0 at the break.

In the second period, Lindaman would notch her fourth goal of the game while she assisted on a goal put in by Hailey Cummins. Audrey Minor and Kendal Gustavsson each recorded goals for Hibbing/Chisholm.

Now at 8-1 overall, Duluth Marshall will head across town to the Heritage Center on Thursday to face the Duluth North Stars. Meanwhile, the 3-5 Bluejackets will face Cloquet/Esko/Carlton on Thursday at the Cloquet Area Recreation Center.
