Knowing Your Neighbor: Morgan Music
SUPERIOR, Wis. — Whether you’re playing the Amsoil or just learning the chords, Morgan Music on Banks Avenue in Superior is here for you.
“We employ friendly gear gurus,” said Tal Morgan, owner of Morgan Music. “Noncommissioned. They’re just here to help you on your journey.”
Opening their doors in November they’ve already seen a healthy flow of local musicians.
“I think that’s got to be one of my favorite parts is you just start talking to someone on the ask them you know, do you gig and it’s like oh “I’ve seen you live,” said Max Wesely, store leader.
“There’s a couple of good music stores in Duluth side and they’re good people over there, but I figured you know, hey, if we can contribute a little bit to the scene,” said Morgan.
“Everything here isn’t really anything that you can find elsewhere. You know, there’s a lot of new products, there’s a lot of brands that I haven’t seen in Duluth or the Twin Ports,” said Wesely.
While the name may be new to the Twin Ports, Morgan Music is backed by three generations of family knowledge at their original Eau Claire location.
“Bud Morgan started it about just over 65 years ago,” said Wesely. “The largest music academy in the area, we actually have more students than about half the elementary schools here in town,” said Morgan.
With an eye on achieving similar successes in Superior serving the community is their number one priority moving forward.
“You know and taking requests for gear. If there’s anything that you’d like to see on the walls, we will do our best to get them in,” said Wesely.
Employees tell Fox 21 that new items will be coming in daily through the end of the year, and music lessons will start soon. For more information, click here.
