Super One Foods And Local Community Supports Solvay Hospice House
DULUTH, Minn. — A check was presented in the form of $45,720.26 to Solvay Hospice House Wednesday morning.
For the 16th year, Miners Inc., Super One Foods & Liquor and the Miller-Dwan Foundation have partnered to raise funds for Solvay. Thanks in part to Super One customer donations.
Solvay provides end of life care to hundreds of patients and their families throughout the region. A check presentation took place at the Kenwood Super One store location.
“We’re just amazed by the generosity and we’re happy to be able to facilitate for this organization. They just really do an outstanding job and whatever we can do to help them support people in their time of need is great,” said Patrick Miner, Miners Inc.
The Miller-Dwan Foundation is the owner of Solvay. Here’s what they say the money will go toward.
“The wonderful $45,000 that was donated will actually be used to offset some of the costs patient care and to also maintain the home so that it’s comfortable and safe for family members and patients,” said Traci Marciniak, President of Miller-Dwan Foundation
Over the past 15 years, this campaign has raised more than $250,000 for Solvay Hospice House. This year’s amount of $45,000 is the most ever raised.
