After Making Team, Maddie Rooney Officially Signs with PWHL Minnesota

Rooney and PWHL Minnesota will open the season on January 3rd on the road at Boston.

ST. PAUL, Minn.- After making the final roster just a week ago, former UMD goaltender Maddie Rooney has officially signed on with PWHL Minnesota.

The deal is for two years.

Minnesota would bring Rooney in back in September on a camp invite offer.

The Olympic Gold Medalist would later earn a spot on the roster after camp commenced just a few weeks ago.

Rooney most recently played professionally for Team Adidas in the PWHPA.

She’s also served as a goalie consultant and goalie coach for UMD the last two seasons.
