Duluth Police: 2 Arrested In Attempted Armed Robbery

DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth police investigators arrested two suspects Wednesday in an attempted armed robbery.

Officials said the call for help came in around 11:20 a.m. for a “person with a gun” in the 300 block of West 4th Street.

Duluth police said a 32-year-old man and an 18-year-old man fled to an apartment building on the 100 block of Mesaba Avenue, which is across from the Duluth Bethel.

The operation was serious enough to call in the tactical response team and the Superior Police Department’s armored rescue vehicle.

Officials said the two were eventually arrested on pending charges of attempted first-degree aggravated robbery.

A firearm was seized. Nobody was injured. Formal charges are pending.
