New TapHouse Opens in Cloquet

CLOQUET, Minn. — A Cloquet couple held a grand opening Wednesday for their new business venture– 218 TapHouse, which is now open and ready for customers.

After 14 months of planning and construction, the taphouse is finally open in Cloquet.

The owners also own Cold One Liquor which is a few doors down from their new business.

The taphouse has 29 self pour taps and a bar with crafted cocktails. There is also three lanes of duckpin bowling.

The grand opening saw many customers, from beverage lovers, to duckpin bowlers.

“I think everybody will like the self tap wall, we’ve got a lot of local stuff, lot of variety,” said Dean Crotteau, 218 Taphouse Owner. “I kind of describe it as a one-stop brewery for a lot of the breweries in Minnesota, and the duckpin’s just a blast if you’ve done it. Shorter lanes, it’s still 10 pin bowling, you get three balls per frame, it’s kind of an arcade style bowling and really fun.”

218 TapHouse will be open seven days a week. 3 P.M. to 11 P.M. on Monday through Friday and 11 A.M. to 11 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday.
