College Hockey: CSS Men Win Shootout, UWS Men Shut Out

Shewchuk leads Saints with two goals

DULUTH, Minn.- In their first home game in nearly a month, the #8 St. Scholastica men’s hockey team went down to the wire in a 3-3 shootout win over St. Olaf’s.

After a tied first period, the Saints took the lead in the second period, but St. Olaf retied the game at three goals apiece at the end of regulation. After a scoreless overtime, the Saints would win in a 2-0 shootout.

Meanwhile, the UW-Superior men’s hockey team were victims of a shutout as they fell to #14 UW-Eau Claire 2-0. Both of the Blugolds’ goals came in the second period. The Yellowjackets will have a chance at evening the series on Saturday.
