UMD Men’s Hockey to Meet Miami for 2nd Time in 2023-2024 Season
The Bulldogs and RedHawks would previously split in a series back in December.
DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team is still in search of their first sweep since late October.
The Bulldogs will welcome in Miami of Ohio this weekend, a team they’ve already seen twice so far this season.
On the RedHawks home ice in December, UMD would tie with Miami, 3 to 3 in the first contest. Then they would take game two by a final of 3 to 1.
Head Coach Scott Sandelin says he’s been pleased with how his team has played the last two months but added he’s not one for moral victories.
“I think we’ve done some really good things. I don’t always go by wins and losses. I go by what we need to do in order to win games. If there’s one area, I’d like to see us take care of the puck better. I think we turn the puck over too much. I don’t care who you’re playing, it’s not a good recipe,” said Sandelin.
Puck drop for game one is Friday at 7:07 PM.
