YWCA Duluth Looking for More Members in New Program
DULUTH, Minn. — YWCA Duluth is looking for more participants in a new program that’s dedicated to making changes.
The Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota is a statewide program for young women and gender-expansive youth.
YWCA introduced the program in Duluth and provides members with the tools and skills needed to make change.
The program has kicked off, but the group is looking for up to 15 more members ages 16 to 24. Members meet twice a month and discuss local policy concerns.
“A lot of people see things and things that they want to talk about and this is a good way to actually get things moving in motion. And what we do here, my role, is to help them implement that,” said Kyra Gustafson, YWCA Gender Equity Project Director.
If you’re interested in becoming a program member and making changes in the community, you can apply online.
