Stauber Running Again for Congress
Announcement came Monday on a post from congressman's campaign.

Over the past week things have ramped up in Minnesota’s eighth district congressional race.
The most recent development came Monday with Pete Stauber’s announcement that he will seek re-election.
The congressman’s news did not come in a press release or press conference, but through his campaign’s post on social media.
In the post, Stauber said in part, “…It’s not just about facing our challenges, it’s about overcoming them. And I believe wholeheartedly that together we can and must leave this nation better than the greatest generation gave to us. I’m Pete Stauber, and I’m proud to stand with you.”
The post did not reference specific issues for the upcoming campaign, but it did say that district residents, “…face economic challenges imposed on us by the White House.”
Stauber was first elected to congress in 2018 and has been re-elected twice. He is a former St. Louis County Commissioner and Duluth Police officer.
Last Tuesday, DFLer Jen Schultz announced she will challenge Stauber again this election. She lost to Stauber in 2022.
