Chilly Billy’s On The Move In Duluth With Expansion Plans

DULUTH, Minn. — Last November a pair of local men bought the two Chilly Billy’s frozen yogurt shops in Duluth.  Now, the owners want everyone to know that Chilly Billy’s is not going away. The Miller Hill Mall location is there to stay.

However, Andrew Weisz, one of the owners, said the lease on the Bluestone shop ends in February. He and his partner are close to signing a lease on a new location in the Kenwood neighborhood. “We want to bring a lot of new life, the new spaces that we’ve identified, really open up more square footage where we can host events, we can bring in new menu items,” said Weisz. He continued “And we can kind of establish Chilly Billy’s as more than just a frozen yogurt shop to have a lot more great offerings that we think this community is missing.”

The owners are already planning to expand Chilly Billy’s footprint in the Duluth – Superior region. “We’ve identified our second location, third location, fourth location, and fifth location where I want to go. And then from there, we plan on opening up a franchise opportunity. But we’re hoping by the end of 2024 to have at least four of the locations open. One in Superior one in Denfeld and then one that we haven’t really disclosed yet.”

Weisz also said he and his partner are planning to franchise the Chilly Billy’s business once everything is running smoothly in the Duluth- Superior market.
