Wasabi Japanese Restaurant In Superior Rebuilding
SUPERIOR, Wis. — A new year comes with a new beginning.
The Wasabi Japanese Restaurant in Superior is being rebuilt after it burned down last year in late January. Officials say it took 7 hours to put the fire out. The building on Tower Avenue was damaged beyond repair.
The manager of the restaurant Sandra says she is looking forward to a new start.
“At the beginning we had a hard time, and we could not believe that it happened, and it happened on a very very cold day, and we could do nothing about it, but we are trying to recover after that period and we’re talking with friends, families, and were talking with other businesspeople and we decided to rebuild our building,” said Sandra.
Sandra says she and her team are looking forward to the future.
“We’re working hard on our building, but we hope everything can go very well and try to serve people nicely. and hope everybody enjoys the food,” said Sandra.
Sandra hopes to reopen in late March or early April. She says the menu will be kept the same as before.
