MacLeod Shines in #8 UMD Shutout Over #10 St. Cloud State

Van Wieren scores lone goal

DULUTH, Minn.- The #8 UMD Bulldogs’ net was closed for business in Friday’s 1-0 win over #10 St. Cloud State at Amsoil Arena.

UMD Goaltender Hailey MacLeod delivered one of her best performances of her burgeoning college hockey career, recording 39 saves while giving up no goals. Clara Van Wieren scored the game’s only goal 4:33 into the third period.

With this win, the Bulldogs have clinched home ice in the first game of the WCHA quarterfinals. UMD and St. Cloud State will face off again Saturday afternoon.
