Superior Girls Hockey Falls Short of Heading Back to State Tournament

The Spartans finish the year with a 20-4-1 record.

MOSINEE, Wis.- The Superior girls hockey team was just one game away from making state for the 2nd straight year on Friday.

The Spartans would battle Central Wisconsin for the section two title and it would come down to the wire.

Trailing 3 to 2 with 44.7 seconds left in the 3rd, Superior would tie the game with their goalie pulled.

The contest would then head to overtime where Madi DePuydt put home the game-winning goal for the Storm and ended Superior’s season.

The Spartans finish the year with a 20-4-1 record.
