DULUTH, Minn. — Warrior Brewing Company hosted a fundraiser event Saturday for the Lake Superior Warriors Disabled Military Hockey Team.

The Warriors team was founded in 2019, where military veterans can use hockey as a form of cognitive and physical therapy. The team also assists veterans with transitioning back into civilian life by creating a support system.

The fundraiser had a variety of items up for auction, from gift baskets to team jerseys. Proceeds will go towards the cost of traveling, lodging and equipment for the team.

“We love to have the public come out, it’s better than having our friends and family who are there every night for us, it’s good to see some people who really enjoy watching us and also assisting veterans in this community here,” said Langston Lalor, member of the Lake Superior Warriors.

The Lake Superior Warriors will be heading to Prior Lake at the end of the month to compete in the Minnesota Armed Forces Hockey Tournament.
