New Event Venue Honoring Norwegian Culture Open in Downtown Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. — A new event venue honoring the Norwegian culture had its grand opening in Downtown Duluth Friday.

Norway Hall Event Center is the name. formerly known as the Superior Ballroom Dance Studio. It is a multi-use space including an office area that doubles as a bridal suite, a small room for therapists or personal trainers, and a 2,000 square foot ballroom. All are available for hourly rent throughout the week. On the weekends it all turns into an event center for weddings or other gatherings. The event center can host 135 people for dinner and 285 for cocktails.

The owner says re-doing the space was a journey.

“It more was a rebranding of my life. When I was running a ballroom dance studio it’s a full-time job Monday through Friday. I have 6- and 9-year-old boys. And so, I wanted something where I could be home during the week and then make beautiful events on weekends,” said Andrea Kuzel, owner of Norway Hall Event Center.

The building is full of Norwegian history as the king and queen of Norway visited in 2011. To rent any of the spaces go to their website.
