The Wolverines have yet to see the Cardinals in their two years of existence.
VIRGINIA, Minn.- The Rock Ridge girls basketball team is less than 24 hours away from making their state debut against Alexandria in the AAA quarterfinals.
The Wolverines have yet to see the Cardinals in their two years of existence.
No matter what happens going forward for the team, head coach Byron Negen says making the tourney is special and he hopes it means bigger things for the future.
“It just means everything about building a program. The kids have put in the time and the commitment. Hopefully it trickles all the way down to our elementary. It means a lot to our program right now,” said Negen.
The Wolverines will hit the court at 4 PM on Wednesday on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
