Boys Basketball: Esko Handles Moose Lake-Willow River to Advance to Section 7AA Finals

DULUTH, Minn.- The Esko boys basketball team is one step closer to making the state tournament.

On Wednesday, Esko would top Moose Lake-Willow River 89 to 65 in the section 7AA semifinals.

They’ll next face Pequot Lakes in the section championship on Friday at 6 PM.

In other boys action, Cherry would defeat Fon Du Lac Ojibwe 114 to 55 in the 7A semifinals.

They’ll next face Mountain Iron-Buhl, who held off Carlton-Wrenshall 79 to 70 in the other semifinal.

Cherry and MIB tip things off on Friday at 7 PM in Hibbing.
