Hawks’ Title Defense Falls Short in Section Championship

Chisago Lakes advances to State Tournament

DULUTH, Minn.- The Hermantown boys’ basketball team was unable to defend their Section 7AAA title Thursday night as Chisago Lakes defeated the Hawks 95-82 in the Section Championship.

Hermantown defeated Chisago Lakes 104-101 on February 26, but Patrick Rowe and the Wildcats came out the gates hot, leading by 7 at halftime and keeping their lead throughout the second half.

Hermantown’s season ends with a 21-8 overall record (8-2 against conference opponents).
