Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day In Style

DULUTH, Minn. –  Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day and that brings out the Irish in all of us, even if on the other 365 days of the year, you have no Irish in you!

There are many different places where you can shake your shillelagh, and celebrate St. Paddy’s weekend.

It’s likely there is at least one place in Duluth that you have not considered – Black Woods.  For three decades, the owners, of Black Woods, the Flaherty’s, have celebrated their heritage with a traditional Irish meal that includes corned beef and cabbage.

Their customers love it and keep coming back year after year.

One of the servers at Black Woods, Candace Krumwiede, said it’s a fun holiday. “We already have a few of our customers who come in specifically for this time only. They are really excited with the corned beef Rueben melt.  We had a couple come in Friday night and Saturday morning last year and now they are here again. Coming in Thursday night and Friday morning for lunch and they’ll be back again tomorrow. So, it’s really fun. “

Of course, the bar at Black Woods will have the traditional green beer on tap and some special mixed drinks including one named ‘Pot of Gold’.
