Dubh Linn Celebrates 19th St. Patrick Day Celebrations

DULUTH, Minn. — Whether it’s your local pub or a fan favorite bar or brewery, St. Patrick’s Day had the doors open Sunday morning for the Irish holiday weekend.

At Dubh Linn Irish Pub on West Superior Street, the usually closed Sunday doors were open and packed inside with people excited to experience their favorite past times. Whether it’s the beer or the food, live music played all weekend long getting people into the Irish cheers.

Co-owner Max Maxim said that Dubh Linn started 19 years ago as a family business and that he’s proud to be the one continuing the Dubh Linn St. Patrick’s traditions.

“I think that on St. Patrick’s Day everybody’s Irish. But the people, the culture’s pretty strong, it’s pretty embedded in the mythology of time so I think people enjoy St. Patrick’s Day,” said Maxim. “Then that family event, people bring in their kids. We give them green beads and make sure they have a good time. We got some live music. It’s really about the experience.”

They will be open until 2 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day.
