The Duluth Playhouse Announces New Theatre Lineup

The Duluth Playhouse announced its lineup Sunday of plays and other performances for the 2016 2017 season at an event held at Duluth’s Underground Theatre.

Six shows will be performed as part of the Playhouse’s main stage series, including La Cage Aux Folles and Billy Elliott. 

The shows were chosen to maintain a wide variety in the Playhouse’s lineup, and organizers say the process of choosing the shows took four to six month.

Performers are thrilled about the announcement and are ready to bring the stories to life in the Twin Ports.

The Duluth Playhouse has been producing Theatre in the Northland for over 100 years, and puts on productions that attracts people from across the region

“That really speaks highly certainly of the organization and its value,” said Christine Gradl Seitz, the Artistic and Executive Director of The Duluth Playhouse, “but, it also speaks to the value that our community places on Art experiences, on coming to theatre arts.”
