The Historical Society Celebrates Give to the Max Day
Give to the Max Day Helps Organizations Around the Northland
Today is Give to the Max Day in Minnesota and it is a day started back in 2009 to promote charitable giving in the state.
The St. Louis County Historical Society is one of many places where the day makes a big difference.
Every ten dollars can help workers here with their mission and that mission lately, is redoing the Veterans Memorial Hall and building a Bob Dylan exhibit.
Jo Anne Coombs, the Executive Director of the Historical Society, said “Give to the Max Day is all about reaching out to old friends over the internet and donate ten dollars or more and help us continue our mission.”
Give to the Max Day is a website driven campaign so all donations can be made online by going to givemn.org.
Coombs said, “We like to say that we are working for the children of the future by preserving whats going on today.”
