Trump Endorses Stauber For MN 8th Congressional Race; Opponent Schultz Responds
DULUTH, Minn. – 8th District Congressman Pete Stauber has received his fourth endorsement from former President Donald Trump.
This comes as former Minnesota Rep. Jen Schultz vies to win Stauber’s seat this November.
Trump posted on Truth Social, calling Stauber a “tremendous representative.” The statement went on to say:
“A Former Police Officer and Professional Hockey Player, Pete is working hard to Secure the Border, Support our Brave Law Enforcement and First Responders, Defend our always under siege Second Amendment, and Empower our Great American Workers to Resort Energy and Mineral Dominance.”
Meanwhile, Stauber’s campaign sent FOX 21 the following statement in response to the endorsement:
“Pete is proud to receive President Trump’s endorsement for a fourth consecutive time. Minnesota families can’t afford four more years of Joe Biden, and Pete looks forward to once again working with President Trump to get our economy moving again and ending the invasion on our southern border.”
Democratic challenge Jen Schultz also released a statement to FOX 21:
“Given Congressman Pete Stauber’s track record of aligning with divisive and harmful policies, it’s not surprising that he has received an endorsement from Donald Trump. However, I remain committed to representing the values and needs of Minnesota’s 8th District, prioritizing our community’s well-being over partisan agendas and personal gain.”
