Prep Lacrosse: C-E-C & Marshall Boys Win First-Ever Games, Marshall Girls Spoil Superior’s Home Opener

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, Duluth Marshall, & Superior boys and girls lacrosse teams are in their first seasons.

CLOQUET, Minn.- On Thursday, four local area teams would have either their first-ever home game or their first-ever inaugural game.

For the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys, they played and hosted their first-ever contest against Rocori.

After being tied 5-5 at the half, the Lumberjacks would outscore the Spartans 5-2 in the 2nd half to earn their first victory, 10 to 7.

Michael Cadotte had a hat trick for C-E-C.

Over in Superior, both the Spartan boys and girls played in their first-ever home game, facing Duluth Marshall in a doubleheader. For the Hilltopper boys, this was their first-ever game.

The girls would start off the night and the Hilltoppers played spoiler to the Spartans celebration, winning 7-0.

Nina Thorson would have a hat trick to lead Marshall in the win.

As for the boys game, the Hilltoppers complete the sweep on the night, taking the game 7 to 4.
