The Lakeview Apartment Complex Breaks Ground Downtown Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. — A groundbreaking ceremony was held today for The Lakeview apartments on East Superior Street in Duluth.

The Lakeview apartment complex sits at the intersection of Duluth’s Historic Arts & Theater District and Medical District.

It includes 210 multi-family units with studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom options available. The Lakeview also has direct access to the Lakewalk along Lake Superior.

It’s connected physically via skywalk to Essentia Health’s St. Mary’s Medical Center, but President and CEO Robert Dunn says, it’s also connected through shared vision.

“We partnered with Essentia to put together the development plan for the incredible medical center that’s been built, and as that plan came together, we realized it really can be a catalyst for significant growth in downtown Duluth all centered on Superior Street and fronting on the lake.”

Dunn went on to explain how vital housing is to a thriving city.

“When you bring residents back into the city, you know that you’ve accomplished something, you know that you’re creating transformation and you know that you’re creating an economic base for the future of the city, and that’s really what the future of this project demonstrates.”

Residents of The Lakeview will have access to a range of amenities, including on-site retail and dining, outdoor courtyard space a fitness center and more.
