Man Injured, Woman In Custody After Stabbing In Aurora
AURORA, Minn. – A man is hospitalized and a woman is in custody after a stabbing Sunday in Aurora.
East Range Police Chief Tim Soular said the call for help came in around 1 p.m. at 16 Main Street N.
A 63-year-old man was located in an apartment with “an apparent stab wound to the abdomen,” according to Soular.
Police said the 27-year-old female suspect ran from the scene.
Residents in the area were told to remain indoors, as the suspect was considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect was eventually found in a wooded area with the help of a K-9 around 4:45 p.m.
The victim was airlifted to a Duluth hospital. His condition was not immediately known Sunday evening.
The East Range Police Department was assisted by St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Gilbert P.D, MN DNR, MN State Patrol, MN State Patrol Aviation Unit, Hoyt Lakes Ambulance, Aurora Fire and North Memorial Air.
The identity of the suspect and victim will be released after formal charges are filed, according to Chief Soular.
