Bulldogs Softball Settles for Split With Mavericks

Potts homers twice in game one

DULUTH, Minn.- It was a tale of two outings for the UMD softball team this Sunday as they split a doubleheader series against Minnesota State Mankato.

In game one, the Bulldogs came away with a 6-2 victory. Elle Potts was the biggest difference-maker at the plate, hitting two home runs (including a grand slam) and five RBI.

In game two, UMD only recorded two hits in a 5-0 shutout loss.

The Bulldogs (30-13) will hit the road on Tuesday for a doubleheader against St. Cloud State (25-19).
