UMD Baseball Coach Bob Rients Reaches 400 Career Wins

Rients is just the second Bulldog head coach to get to 400 victories, joining Scott Hanna.

DULUTH, Minn.- Bob Rients has achieved a lot of accolades during his time as the head coach of the UMD baseball team.

And on Thursday, he added another impressive feat to his resume.

Following the Bulldogs 14-13 extra inning win over St. Cloud State, Rients reached career win number 400.

Rients is just the second Bulldog head coach to get to 400 victories, joining Scott Hanna.

He’ll have a bit of work to do if he catches up to the man known as Honey Bear. Hanna finished with 550 career wins as the Bulldogs head coach.
