Three Popular Tourist Attractions Launch ‘Duluth Passport’
DULUTH, Minn. — A new way to visit 3 popular attractions for the price of 2 is kicking off in Duluth.
The Great Lakes Aquarium, North Shore Scenic Railroad, and William A. Irvin are all part of the Duluth Passport. The passport looks like an official document and unfolds into a map to show where each attraction is. When guests visit those locations, their passport will be hand-stamped.
“You don’t have to do it all in one day. You don’t even have to do it all in one weekend. These are good for the tourist season and that we think is very promotable because we’re always saying the same thing about tourism in Duluth. We’ve got such a great market so much to see and do that people come back time and time again,” said Ken Buehler, Executive Director of the North Shore Scenic Railroad.
To get the passport you will need to buy them online at duluthpassport.com. You can then pick them up at any of the three places. The businesses believe this will show off the Duluth community.
“I think this pass is going to have folks try all the attractions that they haven’t been to before. And of a lot of our visitors come in that maybe do one attraction, maybe two, but moving into that third one will allow them to see more of these great things we have in our community,” said Dan Hartman, Executive Director of the DECC.
The Duluth Passport costs $45 for adults and $25 for ages 3 to 13. Children 2 and under are free.
