Duluth’s Best Bread Expands to Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Duluth’s Best Bread is officially expanding to Superior after a successful pop-up event there.

This will be the company’s third location. It will be located at 1418 Tower Avenue in the same location where the pop-up shop was held. It will open May 28 and open Tuesdays through Sundays.

The family-owned French-German bakery opened its first store in 2015 in Lincoln Park and its second store in Downtown Duluth in 2022.

This is what the owner told Fox 21 in March about Superior’s response to the pop-up shop.

“I have had to talk people out of larger orders. I’ve smiled and said, ‘would you be so kind as to reduce your order a little bit for the sake of all of those who come after you, because we’re going to be here all day.’ And I’ve said that a couple times they’ve said, ‘okay sure,'” said Robert Lillegard.

As for the name of the location it’s staying the same. The owners say it’ll be like Seattle’s Best or Milwaukee’s Best so, Duluth’s Best Bread it is.
