Duluth Homegrown Music Festival Starts This Sunday
DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth will be filled with the sound of music next week as the Duluth Homegrown Music Festival kicks off this upcoming Sunday.
This is the 26th year of the music festival and around 160 bands will hit the stage across 35 venues. The largest venue being Amsoil Arena at the DECC.
What makes the Homegrown Music Festival stand out is that only bands from Duluth take part.
“The fact that we have almost 300 bands apply and we can only take a 160. It’s pretty amazing that a town of under 100,000 has that big of a music and art scene, it’s pretty cool,” said Leon Rohrbaugh, Steering Committee Member for Duluth Homegrown Music Festival.
Starting Friday bands could pick up their packets as they prepare for the music filled week.
