UW-Superior Names Bre Simon as New Head Women’s Hockey Coach

Simon comes from Elmira College, where she spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- The UW-Superior women’s hockey team has a new head coach.

Bre Simon becomes the 6th head coach in program history.

She comes from Elmira College, where she spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach.

Prior to that, she spent two years at Gentry Academy and was co-head coach for one season.

Simon played collegiately at Hamline University. She’s the all-time leader in goals, assists, and points.

Simon replaces Dan Laughlin, who retired in March after 21 years as head coach and 23 years with the program.
