Sexually Explicit Video Involving Minors Circulates Lincoln Park Middle School

DULUTH, Minn. – Lincoln Park Middle School alerted parents Wednesday about a sexually explicit video involving minors that was circulating among students.

In an email to parents, the principal said the video originated outside of school but was still a serious situation because of the content and the “legal implications associated with distributing or possessing such material.”

The school is asking parents to check their children’s electronic devices, delete any video in question immediately, discuss the seriousness of the issue and the legal and emotional ramifications of those involved.

The district also asked parents to report any further sightings of the video to school officials right away.

Below is the full email to parents:

Dear Lincoln Park Families,

This is a message from Principal Brian Kazmierczak at Lincoln Park Middle School.

We are reaching out to address a serious matter that has come to our attention and requires immediate attention and cooperation from our families.

It has been brought to our attention that a video containing inappropriate and explicit content is being circulated among students. Even though the video originated outside of the school, we are deeply concerned because this video involves minors and is sexual in nature.

This situation is serious, not only because of the nature of the content but also because of the legal implications associated with distributing or possessing such material.

As a school community committed to the safety and well-being of our students, we urge you to take the following actions:

1.    Check Devices: Please take a moment to review the content on any electronic devices that your child uses including social media. If you find the video in question, please delete it immediately.

2.    Discuss the Issue: This is an opportunity to discuss with your child the seriousness of sharing and viewing inappropriate content. Emphasize the legal and emotional ramifications of engaging in or being associated with such activities.

3.    Report Any Further Circulation: If your child has received or has knowledge about the circulation of this video, we ask that you inform us immediately. This will help us address the situation more effectively and provide necessary support to those involved.

Please remember that handling such incidents with sensitivity and care is crucial to maintaining the dignity and privacy of all individuals involved. We count on your cooperation to help manage this difficult situation responsibly.

Thank you for your attention to this issue. Together, we can ensure a safe and positive environment for all our students.

Sincerely,

Brian Kazmierczak

Lincoln Park Middle School Principal
