UMD Softball Edges Winona State for Spot in NSIC Tournament Semifinals

UMD will next face Minot State in the semifinals. First pitch is at 2:30 on Friday.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The UMD softball team achieved revenge on Thursday, defeating Winona State 4 to 3 in the NSIC tournament quarterfinals.

The Warriors previously beat the Bulldogs twice in the regular season.

UMD was led by Julia Gronholz, who had one home run and three runs batted in.

In the circle, Lauren Dixon would go seven innings and strike out eight batters.

UMD will next face Minot State in the semifinals. First pitch is at 2:30 on Friday.
