One Dog’s Love Inspires Disc Dog Seminar This Weekend
Lupine will share her love for chasing frisbees with other furry friends in Superior on Saturday and Sunday
SUPERIOR, Wisc. — One dog’s love for catching a frisbee has inspired a Disc Dog Seminar, which will take place this weekend in Superior.
Lupine is a 5-year-old border collie. Her owner, Eve Graves, said Lupine has loved playing catch since they met. Lupine’s boundless energy inspired Graves to look for more structured opportunities for Lupine to hone her skills. She found none in the Twin Ports area. So, she created one.
“She’s been obsessed with frisbees since she was a puppy,” Graves said. “It’s her favorite thing and she won’t stop. So, I want to see what she can do when she’s actually doing something more than just catching.”
This Saturday and Sunday, Disc Dogs classes will be offered at UW Superior’s soccer field, taught by Minnesota Disc Dog Club members. The weekend will feature both beginner and advanced classes, so dogs will all levels of interest in frisbees can participate. A few spots are still available, interested dog owners should email Graves (runnski@gmail.com) as soon as possible.
